NLC Nashville holds the following values:
Anti oppression and inclusion - we reject identity, class, or ability-based oppression of any kind. We commit to actively resist and work against oppression and to create inclusive spaces accessible to the most people possible.

Prioritizing leaders from marginalized communities - we seek to lift up people who have historically been disenfranchised and had their needs ignored by the government. For example, immigrants, Black, indigenous, and other people of color, undocumented people, women, LGBT people, people without formal education, socioeconomically disadvantaged people, etc.

Accountability - we affirm to hold each other accountable in our lives and as a chapter we strive to hold our members accountable for harms committed regardless of their intent, for commitments made, and for upholding our values.

Community - we are invested in our collective wellbeing and work towards a world where everyone’s basic needs are met and we are all able to thrive.

Growth - We commit to helping each other grow together by challenging and stretching each other with grace and generosity.
