Tamara Frazier
Site Manager, Jumpstart

Tamara Frazier is a native of Miami, FL, home to a vibrant culture that is influenced by a diverse population from all around the world and a rich cultural heritage. Her love for diversity led her to the City Beautiful- Orlando. In Orlando, Tamara has engulfed herself in her passion for serving vulnerable and underserved populations and addressing social justice issues within her community.

In late 2020, Tamara joined Jumpstart-Orlando serving as a Site Manager. At Jumpstart, Tamara, supports the launch of a new site in partnership with the University of Central Florida playing a critical role in establishing the program across campus and within the Orlando, FL community. She oversees operations to support language, literacy, and social-emotional outcomes for preschool children from underserved communities. Prior to joining Jumpstart, Ms. Frazier spent two years working at Homeless Services Network of Central Florida serving as the Coordinated Entry System (CES) Access Supervisor ensuring that persons experiencing homelessness in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola County could access the Homeless Response System and implemented a diversion program to explore alternative resources to get persons experiencing homelessness connected to housing. Additionally, Tamara served as an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America), giving a year of service to both Girl Scouts of West Central Florida and the City of Orlando in assisting and building capacity as an advocate for youth in programming and support in underserved communities.

During Tamara’s free time, she enjoys being in nature, exercising, exploring the beautiful city of Orlando, crafting, and Netflix/lazy weekends.

Tamara holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL and a bachelor's degree in Health Science from the University of South Florida.
