Jordan is a proud native of Cleveland, Ohio and is now a 7-year resident of Columbus, Ohio . He is a proud graduate of Otterbein University (C/O 2017) where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Sociology.
Upon graduation, Jordan set off to begin his career in public service and began working as a Legislative Aide in the Ohio Senate for State Senator Vernon Sykes. In addition to working at the Ohio Senate, Jordan served as the Statewide Political Director for Rob Richardson, a former Democratic Candidate for Treasurer of the State of Ohio.
Recently, Jordan has transitioned from serving in the General Assembly to working as a Deputy Engagement Director for the Ohio Democratic Party. Outside of his official involvement in state party politics, Jordan is also the Vice President of Campaigns for the Ohio Young Black Democrats and has a passion for non-profit work. After serving as a fellow for the 2018 United Way of Central Ohio’s Project Diversity, Jordan became the State Executive Director for Be the Change Venture 509(a)(2), a service organization committed to educating underprivileged high school students about the importance of professional networking and career paths.
