Ariel earned a Master of Arts in International Affairs from American University in Washington, D.C., with a specialization in Global Governance, Politics, and Security. She graduated cum laude from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science and has studied in both London, United Kingdom and Jerusalem, Israel. After living and working out of state for more than seven years, Ariel felt the strong pull to return home to Ohio. She moved to Columbus in January 2020 and is eager and excited to get involved and employ her background in policy and communications to inspire progressive change in her community. Outside of work, Ariel enjoys traveling, hiking, trying new recipes, and cuddling on the couch with her husband (Michael) and Goldendoodle (Bentley).
