She understands that challenging the stigma associated with mental illness takes understanding, education and a closer look at our own attitudes toward health. Therefore, she provides community forums and educational seminars. Amelia is also the host of a video podcast called, “You not Crazy: Conversations of Hope”. The podcast focuses on educating individuals about mental health, challenging them to examine their attitudes, behaviors, and biases, and ultimately inspiring her viewers on how to support themselves and others. Amelia has a wealth of volunteer experience working with teenagers and high risk populations. She has dedicated her time with mentorship opportunities where she works collaboratively with several nonprofit organizations. In addition, she serves on the board of LEAF, Inc. as a Vice President. Her joy is found in serving others. Personally, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
